We seek to participate in high quality Tier II ice hockey experiences for players from across the state of Idaho in an open environment at the U12-U18 levels. In partnership with Idaho Associations, parents and coaches, we will provide players with guidance and a developmentally focused hockey product that is not regularly provided for in the local associations in Idaho. Local Idaho hockey associations have not been able to consistently assemble Tier II teams without combining players from across the state. We seek to supplement Idaho associations existing programs with a safe, meaningful, enjoyable and developmental hockey experience based on ability and without regard for location.
We will provide each player the opportunity to compete at or above their skill level and to develop as young athletes. We seek to guide and advise on hockey development decisions for the top players in Idaho. Concurrently, providing any non-Tier II player a pathway to elevate into. We will provide opportunities for players to compete at the Tier II level while working to enhance their performance and deepen their enjoyment of ice hockey, while also developing lifetime skills of goal setting, commitment, self-discipline, determination, teamwork and sportsmanship.
We will work to nurture the physical and emotional well-being of all participants in an environment that fosters and promotes a sense of community and fun. We expect the players to be ambassadors of this opportunity as they return back into their local organizations. Lastly, we will seek to create an environment where more players in Idaho have the opportunity to compete and gain life skills while making connections in the regional hockey community.
Rocky Mountain Warriors is committed to developing all hockey players from across the state on and off the ice. Players will play with their home associations during the regular season, and with Rocky Mountain Warriors before and after their home associations seasons and when not in conflict of in season schedules as practicable. In other words, the Rocky Mountain Warriors is a pre/post team, and will not interfere with a player’s ability to play with their home association throughout the year. Any non-Idaho resident must be approved on a case-by-case basis.
